Create your first interaction: a Rose sends you to jail
A Rose, an alert that bursts on screen, and your character goes to jail. This tutorial builds your first complete interaction, from the scene to your streaming software.
Steps
- 1
Create the scene and the gift alert
Create a scene, then add a gift alert from the overlay gallery. The video uses the Manga Impact style.
- 2
Scene overlay or global overlay
A scene overlay only shows in that scene. A global overlay follows you across all your scenes.
- 3
The “Send to jail” rule
The Rose gift plays a sound and presses a key in your game. Add a global cooldown so the rule does not loop, then simulate it without waiting for your live.
- 4
Hook a reaction to an overlay's flow
An overlay's flow lets you chain an action when the overlay reacts, for example playing a sound when the alert shows up.
- 5
Add the alert to your streaming software
Copy the overlay link and add it to TikTok LIVE Studio (or as a browser source in OBS).
- 6
Go live on the scene
Select the scene in the Live control and go live: every Rose now sends your character to jail.
